Braten Grill

Raising the Bar in Backyard Cooking

You can now get a outdoor grill that is heavy built, long lasting and versatile enough that you can produce exceptional grilling, smoking, southern style bbq, western style bbq, and Argentine style grilling. Better yet, the Braten does this all very well.

Let us be frank, we all love our food cooked over a wood fire. It’s our caveman instincts. The problem is most grills aren’t made for burning wood, they simply are not built heavy enough to take the heat. The Braten is made for burning wood. The coal grates are made from 3/8” solid steel. And it is sized right to take whole logs. But if you want to use charcoal, the Braten will work just as well.

The Braten is engineered to last. In fact we tell our customers “Take care of this; you can pass it down to your grandkids.”

Why can we say this? Every detail is thought out for longevity. 1500 degree powder coating (our competition in this scale uses paint), 10 gauge .1345” thick steel body (check the thickness or yours), cast iron wheels (try to find plastic on a Braten), 2000 lb. stainless steel aircraft cable, UV resistant coating on the handles, stainless steel fasteners on the aluminum, stainless steel calibrate able thermometer, Steel body hinges with Naval brass pins, and the list goes on.

The coal grates on every grill take a beating. Every time you fire up a grill expect the coal grates to exceed temperatures of 1000 degrees. This is brutal to steel as these temperatures can deform or melt steel. The solution is mass, to absorb and transfer the heat. Look at an old steam locomotive, the fire boxes on those machines were massive and heavy. That is how they survived. Just like the Braten, the 3/8” solid steel coal grates and 10 gauge body are heavy and massive. Much heavier than anything you’ll find in a box store. This is how the Braten will survive.

Argentine GrillArgentine Grill Insert, Grate Cleaning Tool and Sausage Hooks.
What a way to change up your backyard cooking. This stainless steel cooking grate and pan will make a heck of a presentation while cooking and also allow you to keep the drippings. The cooking grate is pitched a gentle 5 degrees to allow the juices to flow into the drip pan. The grate cleaning tool fits inside the V-bar grates to help the juices flow along and scrape out the residue. Plus, the whole Argentine experience would not be complete without hanging sausage over the fire for a slow roast.

Ash Box.
Entire steel construction, this makes cleaning out your firebox easy. The top opens up to rake ash from the firebox into and for easy pouring out and closes for safe and clean transport.
