What makes this unit unique is that the cooking rack can be positioned close to the fire for high heat searing or elevated high above the fire for slow cooking. A fire can also be made on one end of the cooking chamber, the rack lowered and the lid closed, then dampers on each side of the cooking chamber can be used to control the heat for indirect cooking.
Like the Braten the height of the cooking rack is controlled by a ratchet and hand wheel.
The lower portion of the cooking chamber is made from 1/4" steel, the lid is made from 10 ga. steel.
The cooking rack comes standard with 3/8" solid steel rod as the cooking surface. An option is available for 3/8" solid rod stainless steel cooking rack. The other options are the same as the 3000 series. |
